Disability, Mobility and Healthcare

Disability is becoming more of an issue in the modern era as we are living longer but not necessarily healthier over a longer number of years.

As our mobility will ultimately decrease with age we will require more and more healthcare from healthcare specialists such as nurses, doctors, physiotherapists and hospital based healthcare staff.

Some of the local healthcare authorities will fund disability equipment but disabled people also have the alternative of purchasing disability and healthcare equipment privately from suppliers such as Disability-Disabled which is a company and website created to provide the correct mobility and disability equipment for the individual that has the mobility problem or simply needs aids for daily living.

The disabled person has rights which have been set out in law which means that the disabled should not be discriminated against in terms of access to services or products because of their disability. The Disability Discrimination Act covers areas such as employment, health, education, motoring and transport.
